Daddy sings the hits

Dad o'Dix: So Manhattan Transfer sang that song, "oooh wah oooh wah cool cool kitty, tell us about the boy from New York City"?
Dix: Uh. Yeahhhhh. (Alex Trebek confirmed this on Jeopardy.)
Dad o'Dix: Hmmmm. (silence for a few seconds) Ohhhh, I was confused. I was thinking about Matchbox 20. You know, "I'm not crazy, I'm just unwell...."
Mom o'Dix: You're NOT???

Pet tales

The LMGC and I saw a touching story on Animal Planet about Tonka, a Chow mix who was born without the use of her hind legs. She had a little cart to help her get around and her foster mother ended up adopting her. The three potential adoptive families (one with a mother who used braces to walk, one with a deaf and blind dog, and one with a five year old) were disappointed that they didn't get to adopt Tonka, but were glad that she had a good home.
And then, at the close of the show as I dried my eyes, this from the LGMC..."That was sad all around. The dog in the wheelchair, the mama that couldn't walk, the family with mullets."

The Police

In Charlotte. Outstanding.
The crowd could have been into the show a little more, but I was thrilled to be there. I only had to wait 24 years to see them as a group. The LMGC and I were in the upper level of the arena, as you can see from the cellphone picture.
